Bad Religion Poster
Rave/Eagles Ballroom
I thought making an 18"x24' poster for a band I like as a promotional item for The Rave in Milwaukee, WI, would be a fun challenge. I always want to purchase a poster reminding me of the town where I saw the concert. I thought this could be a fun addition to the line-up.  I  took the Milwaukee skyline and featured a tiny little superhero on top of the middle building. I rounded it all in the band's logo as a Batman-esque call-out symbol.
SKILLS: Typography, Photo editing, Concepting, Hierarchy, Brand guidelines
SOFTWARE: Photoshop, Illustrator
These thumbnails were some initial ideas that I mulled over. Several showcase the band's philosophies, but I was missing something. When I go to a concert, I like to look at posters, but what makes me buy a poster is when they have one that has something to do with the place where I see them. I feel like it makes a better connection and creates a fond memory. For this reason, I went with the second from the bottom on the left-hand side, the bat signal look, but to tie it to the Milwaukee, WI venue, I found an incredible Milwaukee skyline.
I almost did these two before I thought to add to the MKE cityscape. (roughs)
